- JenDec 28, 2021Terrific Dog Parks!
This dog park is enormous. There are actually 2. One for little dogs and one for big dogs. Most of the park is covered in mulch. I know other reviewers said that there was tall grass, but there isn’t any. To get there, once you park, just go past the tall green playground and there is a sign to the dog park. Follow the paved trail down the hill and you are there. There is even a covered shelter with a bench. My dogs loved it! Highly recommend!

Signage: good luck finding the place
Maintenance: 4’ tall weeds
Basically, this is a cleared pocket in a forest with a fence. Definitely a last resort.

WE were visiting the area and looking for a place to let the dog run around. The pup lived all the space he had for running around! Biggest dog park we’ve been to!

I have taken my English Bulldog to this park and we had a great experience. Plenty of shade, water, benches and all of the dogs and people were super nice. I wish we lived closer or had the same type of dog park near us.

My dog and I come to this dog park every chance we get. We love the shade trees, benches and the beautiful new covered pavilion. It's the best dog park in the state.
- ErinMore than a year agoNo discretion
It is disappointing that people use very little discretion in deciding if their dog is suited for the settings and interactions that come with a dig park. Many will bring their ill behaved dogs here to "play" (in other words dominate and interact aggressively) with other dogs. Everytime I have tried this place, myself and others always end up having to leave because one or more people bring poorly trained overbearing dogs who make the experience miserable. This is completely avoidable considering there are surrounding trails at Crozet Park that could be used for dogs that are not suited for off leash play.
