- KrisMay 14, 2024Great walk with Pups
The trails are dog friendly. Definitely bring water for yourself and your pups! Dogs are not allowed in the buildings and don’t let them off the paved trails as there are cactus like plants that will hurt their paws. Wonderful history!
- KellyMay 12, 2024Great Place!
The doggies had a wonderful time walking around outside (they aren’t allowed in buildings)! They even have a water fountain for pets!
- StephanieSep 8, 2023Great walk
On our "dogs vacation" we went while in Kitty Hawk. Nice walk but very hot.
- DebDec 15, 2022Nice park & museum
great place but lots of burrs in the grass, stick to the paved and gravel areas. Can see some of the museum from outside, dogs can’t go in. Nice long walk, my dog and I enjoyed it.
- MelanieSep 17, 2022Good exercise
We had a great time. We got plenty of exercise. We knew our dog was not allowed in the museum, so we took turns going in. It was not a big deal. We were able to see everything. but watch out for the sand spurs!!! Stay on the path!!!
- JulieannFeb 24, 2020The Reason For Our Visit
I planned this short getaway because I’ve always wanted to see where controlled flight began. Beautiful park and plenty of walking for my girl Pippa. Unfortunately it was to chilly to walk up the hill or the path. No pets inside either so bummed about not seeing the museum. Fun though!
- SamanthaFeb 9, 2020Great place for a walk
Our energetic 2 year old golden retriever was tuckered out after walking up Big Kill Devil Hill to visit the monument! Look out for sand burs- we got one out of her paw when she wondered into the grass. The grounds are leashed (6 ft) dog friendly, but no dogs allowed in the visitor center.
- KelliAug 25, 2019LeBeaux’s Visit to Wright Brother’s Museum
We enjoyed our family visit to this national park. LeBeaux was able to go with us around the grounds and up to the memorial. We took turns going into the museum since he couldn’t go in there. There was a watering station at the base of the memorial that was very handy.
