When we first arrived it seemed like a nice trail but there isn’t much shade along the trail so I suggest not taking your pup there on days that are too warm with the sun beaming. We walked with our pup prob .2 miles and noticed she had at least 2 ticks on her already and immediately turned around. Not that I’m too worried about ticks in general but it didn’t seem worth it to continue and possibly find more on her later. We’ve been to nolde forest many times over the past 3 years for much longer walks and never found any ticks on her. Just be weary if you’re planning a longer walk or be prepared to take more precautions. Overall we didn’t walk much of the trail so I can’t say how the rest of it is.
