ZBonz Dog Park

Fort Worth residents and their canine companions have been eagerly awaiting the completion of ZBonz, a new dog park located at 6950 W. Camp Bowie Blvd., and on April 9, that wait will finally be over.

ZBonz is a 10-acre, fully irrigated park built on the former site of the Z. Boaz Golf Course. The park has separate sections for large and small dogs, sized at 7 acres and 3 acres respectively. It’s also equipped with two shelters, various agility items, pet fountains and two aerated ponds — making it perfect for pups of all sizes and dispositions.

Humans will enjoy the park’s benches and other furniture, and will be grateful for the dog wash station and 12 dog waste stations that will make cleaning up after their four-legged friend a walk in the park. Visit Website

    Fun Outing

We had a good time here, our dogs love swimming, however they did get a little scraped up by the rocks in the water, I’d like if they came and put smooth rocks down cuz some must’ve been sharp underwater. We still had a good time!

    Don't let children use Portopottie

I forgot to mention there were syringes in the toilet! Be careful with children in portopottie!

Nice Dog Park but bring only cheap toys!

Kevin and I loved this dog park, but someone stole our $10 blue tough ball with crinkle and squeaker inside. I used the cheapest toy we had just in case, but really??? If you feel the need to steal a dog toy, you should not own a dog!!! Other than that everyone was really nice, has steps down to water. If I wasn't so angry about someone stealing I may have enjoyed our first visit much more!

The water was pretty dirty too.

So one ignorant person ruined our visit. We won't be back! Murph deserves better!

Outstanding Park for Dogs Who Swim

Z Bonz is an excellent park to bring dogs who enjoy swimming. I really want to stress how great it is to have an off-leash park that offers a lake for the dogs. The place is huge, with ample room for running and playing. The agility course is equally impressive. There is plenty of shaded seating for people who can't or don't have the energy to chase after their pups. The *only* reason I can't give Z Bonz a 5-bones rating is it needs more attention regarding the trash situation. There was an open bag of scattered trash in the transition pen between the inner and outer gates, and trash floating in the lake for the large dogs. Things like chips bags, straws and drink cups floating in the same water the dogs were swimming in and drinking. I'll continue to take my grrls there, but the park needs more attention from the city.

    Every city should have one!

Amazing time at this awesome park! What a great use for an old gold course. The lake was great fun with lots of places to sit. Wash station is nice, but needs gravel around it so it's not surrounded by a moat of muddy water.
