  Mean Dog Lungged at my daughter

  I came here two times and both were terrible, the first time a lady left the door open and I had to chase my dog in the parking lot to get him. The second time my daughter was playing with our dog and a black dog ran up to her and barked and lunged at her bearing his teeth. We will not be going here again!!

  Great Park

  This park was the first visit I’ve ever made to a dog park as I’ve always had lazy dogs. I went on a Monday morning, it was slightly cool for August and spitting rain off and on. Addie and I were the only two at the park so I took her on the smaller dog side as it had the tunnels etc. Turns out she didn’t care about the tunnels etc but LOVED the tall grass and whatever puddles/mud she found behind it. She had a great time running all over the park. I’d read a review saying there were hoses to clean your pets with but only found spigots- not super easy to wash her off with, as I’d brought towels and shampoo just in case. That would honestly be my only improvement suggestion- I’m 100% ok with mud as long as I can wash her off before we hit the car. We will be back for sure.

  Great and big park

  My dog loves the space this park offers for running. She also loves going in the tunnel in the center of the park. This park can get muddy when it's rained or during winter but they just recently added hoses to help wash your dog down when they're done playing. The splash pad is a lot of fun for most dogs. This park typically isn't very crowded and all of the people I've met there are usually pretty responsible dog owners. I haven't see as much conflict here as I have at Spindler Dog Park. Great place!

  We love coming to this park!

  This is a very nice park. The two areas are labeled "active" and "less active" instead of "small" and "large" which I think is much better. A dog's size has nothing to do with its energy level and play style. I take my pup to the active side even though he's little and he loves it. It does get very muddy of course if it's been wet, but that's unavoidable unless they want to shut the park down for a period to regrow grass. Metro parks maintains it and they do a nice job. They recently were closed for a few days and fenced off the ever growing mud pit. This is really the only reason I don't give it five bones. I'm there 3-4 times a week and most times I see a dog dive right in. Thankfully mine hasn't yet, but I assume it's just a matter of time. I don't see a point in commenting on other dogs or dog owners because it just depends on the day and time. There are responsible and irresponsible dog owners anywhere you go. In my opinion, most of the conflicts are between the humans not the dogs because people have different expectations of what play should look like. I've seen several owners simply ask if their dog is playing too rough and offer to stop if the other humans are uncomfortable. If people would just speak up and say they don't like the way a certain dog is behaving, most people would step in and stop it. Overall this is a great park!
