    Pups had a great time

We went on a Saturday and it was a bit crowded but we found a little corner on the beach to ourselves and the pups had a great time

    Awesome park...

My dogs enjoyed the water. The park is clean and pet friendly. We're definitely returning. It has a mini beach area with sand near the pier. Families and their pets enjoy the outdoors together.

    Beautiful, but crowded

Love this park! Water/beach access along the river, wildlife, trails, etc.! The main drawback is how crowded it becomes on weekends during the summer, or nice evenings throughout the year. The picnicking/grilling areas especially become overrun. Hike Freestone Point (short, steep trail) for a nice view, or walk back to the cemetery for some history.
