    narrow beach

I really wanted to love this beach, but we found it was very narrow and there was no way to get away from people and other dogs on the dog beach. With the sand dunes, it was hard to find space to enjoy the water with our dog. I think there are better dog beaches within an hour of here that are more worthy of a visit. But if you are in the area, it is not a bad option.

    Very nice sandy beach

you have a few minutes walk on the very warm sand to get to the beach so your dog has to wear shoes or you can enter by the section before where there is a carpet and then walk on the wet sand

    All sand

excellent dog beach! Easy entry and no rocks. Great place to spend the day. Lots of sand dunes which kept him busy chasing the waves. Highly recommend.

    Best beach in southern Ontario

In my opinion, this is one of the best overall beaches in southern Ontario...and you can bring your dog!!! Entering through Long Point Provincial Park day use area, there is clear signage directing you to the dog area of the beach. The beach itself is wide with beautiful soft sand and a shallow entry into the lake. The dog had a great time fetching sticks along the shoreline. It's a long beach, great for long walks. During a week in August we visited twice on week days and once on a Saturday; none of these were very busy so lots of space to spread out and run around.
