    Will not be back again

Took my two pups for the first and last time. I’ve never seen so much dog poop in my entire life, all from large dogs, no one seems to pick up after their pets. There’s also multiple foot deep holes dispersed throughout the park, so between dodging the poop and the holes it’s almost impossible to walk around. I brought two balls for my dogs, another dog kept stealing them and bringing them to their owner, who instead of returning them kept them to play with their dog; This led to my younger pup crying in frustration, and my older one giving me sad dog eyes. The last straw was when another owner came in with his two large dogs, who proceeded to barrel over and jump on a little girl who was talking to me and petting my dogs, with no real intervention from the owner, this led to my boy dog trying to protect the girl by growling and snapping at the dogs, something that is unusual behavior for him. At this point I had to give up and leave. This could be a decent park, but other owners who frequent it have no interest in doing their part to keep it nice, or follow the unspoken protocol of a dog park. I’ll save myself the frustration and drive the extra 20 minutes to Olympia from now on.

    Convenient

Due to a lot of tall fir trees, the dog park has a lot of shade and mud. It is messy, grassy, not a lot of features besides a bench. It is part of the larger city park, but the signs beyond the dog park all read: No Dogs! They don't want you in the picnic area, playground, or anywhere else. There are bathrooms and ample parking.

    Messy

Is too bad people don’t clean up after their dogs. It’s a very small area and dogs can barely walk in it without stepping in mess. Gross. Won’t be back

Great park I bring my dog too it all the time. May not be good for very small dogs because of a gap in the fence. It can get very muddy when it rains and people tend to never pick up after their dogs here. There are multiple benches and shade along with water bowls.
