HUGE park with varied terrain and agility equipment (including A Frame!)

The pictures don’t do this park justice!! only complaint is I wish there were spots to fill up water bowls without going all the way to the exit because my dog kept trying to drink the stream before I could get to her to stop her haha. She did play so hard she tore her pads due to the combo of uneven/rocky terrain there and then the asphalt parking lot, so watch out for that if you spend even 2-3 hours there like we did. She slept the whole way home though and is thoroughly tired, and clearly had a lot of fun :)

    Nice park

We have two Labs who love to hike. This park was a good spot for a break during our road trip. In the park was clean with a small grassy area. There was also a large area with trails for the dogs to run around. Water bowls and water available also. A couple of covered picnic tables are available for the humans.

    Dandy Draper Dog Park

This dog park was a great find and not listed on Yelp. I found on BringFido and it was a good surprise. There is a stream that runs through the middle and a walking path around the outside. There is a big dog area and a small dog area, but most use the big dog area. The park has a grassy area that is fenced, but most is gravel/dirt. The park also has waste stations throughout and is very clean. Let's please keep it this way! Overall, love the dog park, along with the dogs and people that attend here.

    Nice park overall

Pros: Spacious, well-maintained park with a walkway, small and large dog area, water feature and agility obstacles. There are always tennis balls and poop bags. There is a hose at exit so dogs can be rinsed off if needed. Clean water bowls are available by the hose. Convenient hooks to hang leashes by entrance. Lots of regulars visit on the weekdays and there are plenty of dog friends for my dogs.

Cons: Too many unruly young children in the park; climbing on agility equipment like it’s a playground. Dogs can’t use it because the children always playing on it. They will even start climbing all over it while I’m training my dog on the equipment and almost getting knocked over by the dogs. They waive toys and sticks around not being aware a dog could see this as an invitation to play, creating a situation they may get them knocked over and/or accidentally bit or scraped.

There are always many little dogs (about 10 pounds and under) in the large dog area despite having an available small dog area. This puts the little dogs at risk of being injured by large dogs and unfair to large dog owners trying to enjoy the park. Most of these little dogs are intimidated by large dogs and are very reactive; barking, snarling, at snapping at them.

Fairly frequently dogs who exhibit aggressive tendencies are brought to the park. This seems to happen mostly on the weekends and the people and dogs are not park regulars. Today someone brought a Great Dane who was obviously dog aggressive/reactive. It was snarling, lunging, and barking in the entry pen. Despite acting like this the dog was brought in the park. At least they kept it on a leash but it would lunge and snap at dogs who approached it and wasn’t muzzled. Disaster waiting to happen.

Overall: it’s a lovely park, I love playing with my dog here and she has lots of fun. Unfortunately, too many inconsiderate people visit with their young children or dogs unsuited for the park environment which makes it hard to enjoy. Many times I cut my visit short because I become very uncomfortable with dogs, people, and situations happening at the park.

    Great park

We enjoy the large open area with hills for my large dog to get out some energy and a flat path around the top that I can walk on and keep an eye on her. Only 4 bones because we left early due to over hearing others say she was a nuisance 😢. She is a 5yr old Daniff (Great Dane / Mastiff). She is a rescue who never learned how to play due to her size and previous situation. She doesn’t understand other dogs running and takes off and gets vocal. She is well behaved and stops and comes back when I call her. How else am I supposed to socialize her?

    Wonderful Park

So spacious and lots to do for your pup. Owners and dogs are friendly. I have a doodle and he love it! 4 Bones because some owners don’t pickup after their dog and it’s all gravel/dirt and with the little creek running through it, he got very dirty

    Great Size, Dirty Doggo

MY dog loves this park. It’s a large size with plenty of areas to run. I enjoy the lap section for owners to walk around the park and I really like the running water in the middle of the park. The only downside is the park is entirely dirt. So combine that with the river and a bath is a must every time we leave this park.

    A Pawsitive Experience

This is a good sized dog park for medium and large dogs! Most of the park is gravel/sand, so if it is wet at all, the dogs will get really dirty. There is a nice walkway for humans around the perimeter of the park and dog bags/trash cans everywhere! We’ve run into a few irresponsible owners over the last few months with ill-behaved dogs, but usually people are friendly and dogs are good!

We just visited this park and it was clean and had good seating and shade for owners, also water and poo bags. Nice area for our large dog to have a fun game of fetch

Avoid until water is cleared up

I would avoid this park at all costs until Draper City has cleaned up the water. There are no signs stating they have had issues with dirty water and dogs are getting sick. I have called the city and they said that it was cleaned so I
trusted and brought my dog again and he is sick yet again. With almost $500 in vet bills and antibiotics to treat Giardia I will now never go again.

    Little dogs got ripped off

If you have a little dog this isn't the same park as you'll see in the pictures. There is no water area besides a fountain, no walking area around it, and it's much smaller. Super bummed to find all of that out.

    Love!!

My dog and I love this dog park! All of the owners seem to be nice. You do run into the occasional overprotective owner but it’s still great!

    Sunday Funday

We visit on Sunday and there are always a ton of different dogs for my girlfriends Border Collie to play with. Everyone is pretty courteous when it comes to picking up after their dogs and they all seem to be friendly. There's a nice stream that runs down the middle so that they can cool off a little bit/play in the water. They have recently started adding gazebos over the benches so you can have a shaded place to sit during these hot months which is really nice. There is also a fenced in field area where you can get a good game of fetch in. Overall I would say it's the best fenced in park we've been able to find that's relatively close to us. Very well maintained.

    It's not bad

We visited today and as of now there is barely any water to play in. We hope the water comes soon because that's our favorite part. Theres plenty of room for them to run and play, and they even have a small grass area. One downfall is that there isnt any shady areas for when they get too warm. I love that they have a fresh water spicket at the top for us to use.
