Mormon Trailhead at South Mountain Park
For a moderately difficult hike, take Fido to the pet-friendly Mormon Trailhead at South Mountain Park in Phoenix, AZ. This trail forms a five-mile loop with a 1,000-foot elevation gain that boasts great views of the desert all year long. Enjoy the wildflowers and local animal life along the trail or just go for the exercise. If you want a longer outing, try out one of the trails that connect to this one and explore the area. There is ample parking right at the trailhead. Make sure to bring plenty of water for yourself as well as for Fido.
