The Downtown Tempe Mill Avenue District is a great place to visit in Tempe, AZ with your dog. This area of town is pet-friendly and full of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, and is extremely popular with Arizona State University students. During football season, join the student crowds to tailgate the ASU games, or take a walk down to Tempe Town Lake and walk Fido around the park there. Many of the restaurants feature outdoor seating, where you and your dog can enjoy a meal together. Dogs must be leashed at all times.
