  Arroyo Park (trails) gateway to Chuckanut Recreation area

  This gem is close enough to town to take your dog after work, but feels like you are out in the middle of the woods in some forest, with exception of some freeway car noise at times. My pooches get a decent amount of exercise in this romp, but be mindful that you can be sharing these trails with mountain bikers and joggers. On the weekend there are numerous young families with children, so we don't tend to go then, to avoid the constant leash on/leash off. Parking at the western pullouts just off Old Samish Road get you right next to the trail with less worry with the occasional spurts of traffic on this cut through road from I-5 to Chuckanut Drive.
