    Awesome park!!

Back where we moved from this would’ve been considered a forest preserve not “just a park”. And my dogs both love it! The paved trails are nicely kept & the unpaved ones have been fairly easy even for my senior pup. Pro-tip: if you have a hard time finding it on apple maps (it lead me to a parking lot the first time) try searching for “Carson Athletic Field” its on the same street.

    Beautiful Trails

Dogs are allowed off leash shortly after entering the park. There are plenty of garbage cans to take care of waste. The people and dogs we met were friendly and nicely interactive. There are spots for swimming as well. A great place to spend a few hours with your doggo!

Best hidden secret on the South Shore

Some will be upset that I'm giving this secret away, but this park is outstanding and deserves a review! We stopped going to Stoddards Neck after witnessing some dog fights and have never ever experienced anything negative here. Beautiful walk along the water or through the woods. Paved roads so the kids can bike ride. Fun for all in a natural setting. Dogs can be off leash at the yellow lines near all the entrances. Keep this park dog-friendly by being respectful. There's even a museum open a few hours a day for the locals to learn the history of the area. Clean, friendly and spacious.
