  Disappointing

  This is the closest metropark to us, and I find it very disappointing that they're so dog-discriminatory there. As someone else mentioned, there's only one actual trail that allows dogs. You could technically go there and walk around the main non-trail areas, but it's kind of a waste. I highly do not recommend the one dog trail they have - it's nothing but grass and not always maintained properly. In the summer, flea and tick city.

  Solid Local Spot

  The Goldenrod Trail is the only trail at this park that permits dogs. The trail is a little over a mile long and it took our Doxie mix 22 minutes to walk it. It could be muddy in spots if it had just rained, but we didn’t have any issues today.

  Good for locals

  People who live far away shouldn't drive here as there's not a lot in the way of dog activities. Yes, it can be muddy like all trails in Ohio at certain times of the year. Yes, there can be ticks like in all Ohio woods in certain times of the year. I've taken my previous dog and current dog here many, many times and, aside from the occasional muddy spot at times, it's good. If you expect your dog to 'run free' off leash (which is stupid IMO) and/or get hours of exercise and/or you drive a long way to get here, you'll be disappointed. If you're local (within an hour's drive or so) and just want a nice leashed dog walk in and around the woods - maybe see a turkey or deer - this place is perfectly fine for that.

  One Trail

  You can only take the dog on one trail. otherwise not bad.

  Mud!!! Very Disappointing!

  This path is all grass and mud! Very muddy! Would not recommend. It was a wasted trip.

  Not worth it

  Disappointing to travel all the way here to find out that you can only take your dog on one measley trail, I planned on hiking sugarbush and after pulling up the sign says no dogs, the only option is goldenrod trail. The website says nothing about animals being prohibited on any of the trail info page, in order to find out which one we could go on, I had to go back to the home page scroll to the bottom and click on “Pets” but it doesn’t appear to be a hyperlink, (but it is) I found it out of spite. This is a beautiful park but don’t bother going if you’re taking your dog😢. The goldenrod trail is simply to easy, no ups or downs, wet even when it should be dry, it’s basically open fields that they’ve mowed on the outskirts, no cover, my dog was overheating. This park has such great potential, but sadly falls very short for dog lovers

  I visited here with my dog and not only is there just one trail for dogs, but I found a tick crawling all over my leg when I was checking out the trail map! Will not be back with my dog.

  Not Intended for Dogs

  There was only ONE dog path and somewhere around 6 trails for people only (signs say no dogs allowed). The dog path is extremely easy, boring and only a mile long. Not what I expected when I brought my dog here. Such a short and disappointing trip for us.

  Hardly worth a visit.

  Same experience: too short and too wet. Seems to be a common theme in some other Columbus metro parks as well. Pick a spot that is not scenic and flooded and cut a path for the dogs (curious how their equipment doesn't get stuck). I suspect one of the reasons the nature trails (which are awesome) in the park are off limits to dogs is because some owners refuse to clean up after their pets.

  too short

  The dog-friendly loop is only 1.2 miles and a portion of it was so muddy we couldn't even walk through it.
