The Hippie Tree

Leashed dogs are welcome. The tree received its nickname because of the spiritual visitors (hippies, as they were called by locals) who would come to this spot for enlightenment. After receiving visions, these artists would then paint on the bark of the tree in bright, neon paint. The address listed is for Greenspire School which is adjacent to the trail. From the trailhead, take the first right and you will proceed up a large hill into a clearing. The next left will lead you down to the Hippie Tree.
