    Beaches are NOT dog friendly

Petosky State Park has one mile of beach front, and the beach is the main attraction. Unfortunately, my dog was not allowed ANYWHERE on the one mile of beach. Park policies also forbid leaving dogs unattended at any time, so I was essentially banned from the beach. I was not even allowed to walk behind the dunes with my dog to access a non-park beach area.

    Disappointing

Since dogs are not allowed on the beach, there really isn't much else to see or do here. I wouldn't recommend this as a stop, if you plan on bringing your pup.
