    Great Trails!

For any out of state residents, or in-state who don’t get a recreational passport with their registration, you can buy annual or daily passes online or in park offices.
The trails here are great for biking or dogs, but not wide enough for both in some areas. They’re much longer than many of the other area trails, so it was nice to get a great workout without a bunch of loops. The equestrian trails are also fun and somewhat challenging, especially for low-riding dogs. There were ground-nuggets, but nothing too bad that couldn’t be avoided. There is plenty of shade and the trails are pretty well marked, so we had a fantastic day hike!

    Passport required

Many state parks in michigan require a recreation passport which makes visiting from out of state problematic.
