    Sanilac Petroglyphs Historic State Park is a 240-acre historic site in Cass City, MI. Bring Fido along for a walk on the 1-mile trail that crosses the Little Cass River. You can also see the Sanilac Petroglyphs, Michigan's only known prehistoric rock carvings attributed to Native American workmanship in the Lower Peninsula of Michigan.       Cool Site!

      What a fascinating site in a remote rural area! The petroglyphs were covered and closed for the season but the one mile walk along the river and in the woods was a great way for my dogs to get some exercise after a two hour drive. Lots of good smells for them and signs for me to learn about the site. A little muddy but easy to walk around.
