The temporary trail (rerouted for construction at the upper falls) got a tad hard to see in spots. Luckily the blue marks on the trees made it easy to follow still.
Small walk to the lower falls. There is a trailhead that takes you on a 3 mile hike through the woods. We didn’t see anyone on the trail but there were a lot of mosquitoes.
We had a blast here! Dogs loved it!! Campsite was super dog friendly with lots of shade (and lots of chipmunk and squirrels though)!! The dogs got to ride in the row boats and hike the little island by lower falls. Highly recommended!!!!
Rufus here...Hiked to lower falls. Big day. Saw lots of chipmunks, squirrels and birds. A few other doggos on a hikes with their fams. most were nice, few wanted to take me on. But all in all, a good day! Highly recommend!
