Sea Turtle Inc. in South Padre Island, TX, is a dog-friendly, nonprofit rescue center that rescues, rehabilitates and releases injured sea turtles. Dogs and cats are allowed in all indoor and outdoor public areas as long as they are leashed or crated. Visitors can sit in on a Turtle Talk or take a self-guided tour of the outdoor facility. While they are open year-round, outdoor tanks are covered when temperatures drop below 55 degrees, and turtle viewings are limited. Admission varies depending on the season, and hours are extended during summer months, so be sure to check their website before planning your trip.

they welcomed us with open arms all over the property, we sea some really big turtles and then did some history and shopping. our humans seemed to enjoy themselves also.
The Facility and Staff are Very Dog Friendly! Had a very nice time wandering the boardwalk from the hospital where they are rehabbing turtles to the educational center to see the permanent residence of the facility. Our dog was curious and some of the turtles were checking him out too. A nice place to spend some time and learn about these beautiful creatures. The ticket price and souvenir $$ all go to the care of the turtles— so money well spent!
So amazing and informative! We got to see all kinds of turtles and learned so much! Super pup friendly! They were so nice and even commented on how well behaved my pup was! Great experience I am definitely coming back!
