    PARVO ALERT ⚠️

We took our VACCINATED puppy there to play and he love it. This is the ONLY place we have taken him and her got parvo from there. I emailed them so hopefully the will clean the area and change out the bowls. And I wish owners wouldn't take there sick dogs there. He is doing much better but we are not out of the woods yet.

    Amazing Dog Park

We have been travelling across the country and this dog park was by far our favorite. It has plenty of shade. Also, it is very clean and spacious. We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the volunteers who runs the dog park. He was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

Our Favorite Dog Park In The Area!

this is my absolute favorite dog parks in the area! There aren’t many, but this one is the biggest and the cleanest. There is water, waste bags, and waste bins provided by the non-profit Friends of Mosquito Lake Dog Park, who help maintain it. I find people here are generally friendly and usually only bring nonaggressive dogs. There is a dog beach and on Sundays they regularly have a puppy play day at 1pm for those trying to socialize their new pups!

    Aggressive dogs with incompetent owners!

I took my 7 month old lab to the park to enjoy the water. She was having a great time until a guy entered the water area with two dogs and immediately unleashed them. One of his dogs, a mountain cur, immediately growled and charged my dog knocking her to the ground. As soon as she got up, he did it again. The guy laughed and said there wouldn't be a problem as long as my dog was submissive! My dog tried to escape into the water and he tried to do body slam her under the water. I called her out and was thoroughly pissed off at this point! While trying to leash my dog who was now completely terrorized and laying on her back, they dog preceded to growl and charge at me! Not once, but twice! I yelled at the dog to stop and he came within a couple of inches both times. At no point did the owner try to control his dog or even offer an apology! While my dog and I narrowly escaped being attacked by his cur, we were both shaking and distraught. While leaving I told him he had no business taking an aggressive dog off the leash and he just laughed. What was supposed to be a pleasant experience at the park ended terribly! Apparently he felt is was acceptable behavior for his dog. People who attend a dog park need to have some common sense! If you own an aggressive dog, it definitely does not belong in a public place off leash and allowed to terrorize other dogs and their owners.

    Awesome

I pack 3 goofy, slobbery jumpy dogs into the car to get there, and come home with 3 gentle, sleepy and satisfied panting dogs after about an hour or so. Can't go wrong! BRING A TOWEL!!

    Mr Chew Bone

Had an absolutly wonderful time at Mosquito Lake. Lots of room to run, very shady areas, plenty of squirrels to chase and your own swimming area. You can even shower off after leaving the fenced area. Separate areas for small and large dogs. Took us 90 minutes to get there but well worth the drive.
