My 2.5 yr old pit/lab and I love Cowels,please mind your dogs body language and bring water (there are some bowls at the top,but I've seen them empty before)

This is a fun easy hike if you are fairly fit. There isn't much shade and it tends to get busy, so it's best to go early especially if your furry friend has lots of fur.

Cowles Mountain Trail is a dog-friendly, moderately easy, 3-mile hike in San Diego, CA. Located within Mission Trails Regional Park, this hike will take about 2 hours to complete with Fido.
