Fido can join you as you wander along the two-mile, dog-friendly Tidal Basin Loop Trail in Washington, DC, as you take in views of the water, cherry blossoms when in bloom, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and the Washington Monument. Pets are allowed around the Tidal Basin and on the grounds of the memorials, but not inside the memorials themselves. Dogs must be kept on a 6-foot or shorter leash during their visit.
