The museum tells the story of Jackson's boyhood experiences during the Revolutionary War and highlights life in the South Carolina backcountry from Andrew Jackson's birth in 1767 until he left South Carolina in 1784.       Located in the Piedmont region of S. Carolina, the park is the boyhood home of Andrew Jackson. The area was the site of much fighting during the Revolutionary War; Jackson himself served as a courier & was caught & held captive by the British when he was 13 yrs old. The park features two walks; one around a small lake; the other through the forest. Each is about a mile long. There is also an open field featuring a few historical exhibits w/ a one room school house & a meeting house.
      Lots of interesting smells for dogs to explore though scenery for owners is a bit drab.
