Pet-friendly Chester State Park rests in the quiet hills of the South Carolina Piedmont and for generations has offered retreat and recreation to the surrounding communities of Chester, SC. The park's 523 acres include a 160-acre lake, itself surrounded by a two-mile nature trail through the pine forest. Jon boat rentals are popular in the warmer months and the park also offers picnicking, camping, archery and a place to simply enjoy the serenity of the placid setting.
