    Fun and easy

This is a nice walk mostly through a wash before it climbs up to the hoodoos. It’s very pretty, but I imagine it’s gets very hot (we went early morning in the fall) and it was fine. It’s about a mile and a half round trip and flat until you climb a bit to get to the hoodoos.

Dog friendly & no permit needed

Parking lot is Right off 89 so careful you might miss it. The perfect short hike with your dogs. My 15 year old shitzu completed the trail and he loved it! We went in late November so it was nice and cool. It’s 1.6 miles round trip and only 100 feet elevation. Some parts of the trail has some sandy soils but it wasn’t bad at all as you can just go off path unto harder soil if you like. The view was great once you get there and the rock formations are very cool. We spent a good half an hour exploring and taking pics before heading back. :)
