Joshua Tree National Park

Fido is allowed in certain pet-friendly areas of Joshua Tree National Park in Twentynine Palms, CA. The park features two distinct desert ecosystems, the Mojave and the Colorado. Pets must be on a leash no longer than six feet at all times, and may not go on any trails or in the backcountry, or inside any buildings. Dogs can explore picnic areas, roads, and campgrounds, but cannot go more than one hundred feet from them. The National Park reminds dog owners to clean up after their pet and bring plenty of water along for them. Visitors should check out Joshua Tree's official website for a map of where pets are allowed. Visit Website

    Not Inherently Dog Friendly

This NP is not dog friendly, though it can still be enjoyed with your dog. Dogs are only allowed where cars can go, so picnic areas, view points and dirt driving trails. I was still able to see everything I wanted and my dog had a good time! 3 bones soley for the fact that people need to understand that this park is NOT dog friendly.
