    Wire Pass Trail was Great

The last review somehow accidentally submitted.
We took the Wire Pass trail during the early part of the day in late October. It would be seriously hot with very little shade during warmer months or in the afternoon. The trail follows a wide wash to a beautiful slot canyon. There is a significant drop (8-10’) in the middle of the canyon which I was not going to attempt with a 60lb dog, so we went halfway through and then came out. There is a path that goes over the slot canyon, but it is steep and slippery so may not be a good idea for some dogs. We climbed to the top to enjoy the views and then headed back to the trail head.
The trail head is at a parking lot 8 miles down a very rough road that is impassible during wet weather, so be aware of that as well.
