    Nice, well kept, dog park

Visiting the dog park while driving across the country. Apple Maps gave us incorrect directions. The park hosting the dog park was in poor shape but the dog park itself was in great shape. while we were there in the middle of the day a Tuesday we meet two local dogs so it seems to be in frequent use.

    Great park!

We stopped in on a road trip yesterday and enjoyed this park. It was clean, sizeable, and there were friendly dogs & people there ready to play.

It could use a tad more shade, but it looks like they're working on that with some young trees that will continue to grow.

    Perfect place for pooches!

We moved back to the Marietta area when this dog park was beginning to become a reality for some very dedicated community dog lovers. Our dog, John Denver, loves the park and all the people and dogs he gets to visit. It is very spacious with plenty of benches, water fountain, and baby pool. The tree lined hillside provides shade on hot days and new trees have been planted throughout. We are regular users of the park and have made new friendships with other area dog owners. It's a great place - come and try it out for yourself! You and your pooch will be glad you did.

    Something to Bark About!

Marietta Community Dog Park is actually a shy dog park and a large dog park that gives the dogs an off-leash green space inside the city limits. There is plenty of free parking with a parking lot right beside the park. They have water and restrooms in the warmer weather. Volunteers keep the waste bag receptacles well stocked and have even purchased a pool for the pooches. Most dog owners are responsible and keep the park clean by using the trash cans and recycling boxes located at each gate. There are thirteen benches to rest and the newest addition to the park is an A frame agility ramp with a resting table. The best part about our dog park is the dogs and people that visit it!
I am disabled and sometimes taking my dog for a walk is hard. The Marietta Community Dog Park is always a fantastic option when I am not feeling up for a walk. My dog loves to meet her friends at the park after work (the busiest time at the dog park is between 5:00 and 8:00 PM so if you and/or your dog are social, you will want to visit the park between those hours). Very few people have attempted to bring an aggressive dog to the dog park, but when they do, others typically ask them to leave. All dog parks have their problems and this park is not perfect, but it is pretty darn close!

    Wonderful park!

My dogs, and my husband and I, love this dog park. We started visiting about a year after it opened. Every year brings new improvements. From installing ever more benches, to planting more trees, to adding the fountain/hydrant and pool, the park just keeps getting better. Since much of the work is done by volunteers, it is also a testament to the Marietta dog-loving community. The City of Marietta deserves kudos too,. They have listened and acted on suggestions from those who use the park.
Be sure to bring your dog(s) when you next visit Marietta!

    Awesome Dog Park!

The park is in a quiet area. No traffic noises from the city. Park is always clean and mowed. We love how open the park is. There are a lot of benches for the humans to sit and relax. Seems like everytime we go, there are other dogs there for our Brutus to play with
