    Nice pit stop

Great place to stop when on a road trip, easy to find, plenty of parking. My dog was just sad there were no other puppies to play with at the time.

    Littered dog park

It’s a nice fenced in area that is great for letting a dog run, there is no water except for a hole in the ground filled by the sprinklers. And it appears that it is still used for picnic and cookouts by all the trash laying around.

Great dog park in middle of NV desert!

Battle Mountain is an excellent location to stop on your way across NV -- for me, annual trek from SF Bay Area to Jackson Hole -- either to take in a meal, or even to spend the night (recommend wonderful Big Chief Motel, pet friendly!). Lion's Park has always been there, but just an open park that features a children's playground, barbecue areas, and a horseshoe pit. Well, in the past year or so, the city decided to add a fenced dog park at one corner of the park -- and, for what it is and where it is, it's great! Really does the trick to give your dog some well-needed off-leash exercise during a long driving trip. While not massive by any means, it is more than suitable to give your dog some exercise and playtime where she/he can run free. Well done, Battle Mountain!
