An incredible resource for the dog community area!

Fitchburg Dog Park is such an amazing asset to the community!
The grand opening of the park was phenomenal! There were hundreds of dogs together, every different breed and size....playing and having fun! Tails wagging, tongues hanging out....squeaky balls being tossed....and not a single dog fight or hardly even any barking!
Amazing. Large dog area and small dog area (30 lbs and under)....shade pavilion with benches... kids playground nearby for full family fun.
Water fountain at front, and water spigot with removable bowls inside each area. Rock features for doggie fun. Dogs all having a great time.
Regularly maintained by the friends of the Dog Park. Clean.

    Stay Away

I brought my very friendly and playful 25lb Terrier mix to this dog park yesterday. There were two dogs well over the 30lb weight limit in the small Dog side of the fenced in park. I let my dog smell them through the fence to get acquainted and everything seemed ok as the owners of these two dogs did not mention that their dogs weren’t friendly. As we entered the park these two dogs instantly attack my dog. One let’s go and the other latched onto my dogs tail as my husband picked my dog up. My dog was screeching. The owners of these dogs did not seem to care that their dogs were attacking my dog. We immediately left and my dog was left with superficial scratches on her legs and stomach. Do not bring your dog here if you care about your dog. These people should not own dogs. Should have known better not to go to this park....

    So Much Fun

My dog and I went on the opening day and she loved it. She had the chance to be around so many other dog friends and she was able to run free in a big space. The small and big dogs are separate too so, we didn’t have to worry about our giant squishing any of the little guys. We’ll be going all the time.
