    Dogs are allowed at pet-friendly Great Valley Grasslands State Park in Stevinson, CA, where they are welcome on a 6 feet leash. There is lots of interesting plants and vegetation in the park and people come from miles around to see the springtime wildflower display.       Fun, but definitely undeveloped.

      We go here to let the dogs stretch their dogs.
      Pros- the dogs can run off leash and the trial is easy to hike. Wide open spaces and the dogs love that. The dogs can also swim in the river.
      Cons- limited parking and busy road so have a leash to walk your dog in and don’t let them off leash if they don’t t have good recall. No shade and can be difficult to make your way to the water. Bring bug spray and make sure your dogs are on tick repellent.
