Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park

Dogs are welcome in the picnic areas and campsites of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. Also, unlike many state parks in the area, dogs can also join you on a number of trails, including the Meadow Trail, Pipeline Road, Graham Hill Trail, and Powder Mill Fire Road. The park has been established to preserve forests and the areas next to the watershed of the San Lorenzo River, including a number of huge redwood trees. The park is open from sunrise to sunset every day and the Visitor Center is open from 10am to 4pm. Visit Website

    Fun friendly hike!

Beautiful hike through the redwoods. The signs are a little confusing for which trails the dogs are allowed. Rule of thumb: stick to the paved trails. We saw tons of hikers with their dogs and everyone was super friendly. The hike was gorgeous and was pretty easy for new hikers or young/small dogs.

    Wonderful Park

I bring my dog for hikes and bike rides in Henry Cowell. We both love the park, however dogs must be on leash. I bring my dog to the park on a weekly basis. ❤️
