beautiful views! loads of meandering trails along the cliffs and meadows.
the whole town was dog friendly.it is expensive and gas there is outrageous - plan ahead and gas up before heading toward coast. the drive is winding and slow but worth it! stop often.

we walked the beach with our pups. we were here off season and not a lot of people were out so we asked a local and they said most people were cool with dogs off leash if they didn’t disturb others. officially leashes are required. love this place. highly recommend for people and pets

This is a very dog-friendly beach where the Big River meets the ocean. A long strip of wide sand gives dogs a large area to romp around. There are signs posted that say dogs should be on-leash, but the majority of dogs we saw here were playing off-leash. We kept ours mostly on-leash, but they still had fun exploring, sniffing, and splashing in the water.
