Pup friendly town and trails

Mendocino Headlands State Park

beautiful views! loads of meandering trails along the cliffs and meadows.
the whole town was dog friendly.

it is expensive and gas there is outrageous - plan ahead and gas up before heading toward coast. the drive is winding and slow but worth it! stop often.

Relaxed and perfect

Fish.

I love this place. it is off the main path and by marina. expensive high quality fish! lobster rolls are stuffed full and wonderful. I go for the oysters! there is plentiful outside seating by the marina. you stand in line and place order at the counter - nothing fancy here. they bring your food to the table. nice selection of wine. dogs are very welcome! I go alone and can bring her in to order.

Wow

Inn at the Cove

This is very dog friendly! they took her pic and put it on their poster board. there’s a dog bed and bowl in the room. I have a king room over looking ocean. there’s a little balcony with 2 chairs to sit that has ropes close enough that my small dog can sit out without being on leash. they have swings to sit and watch the sunset! rooms are modern and clean. wine from 4-6. breakfast in am.
pool is closed for renovations.
private cove where Violet ran like crazy on the beach.
Be aware pet fee is high! $100
