  After our 2 shore dog beach options were at capacity, we were happy to find this quiet beautiful option for a nice hike and water front relaxing!

  I went to Fisherman's Cove section where there are plenty of dogs on the beach. The rangers have given heavy warnings about dogs off leash in the last 2 or 3 years... it does not phase the regulars. I like how the beach is set far back from the road and there is a little path the dogs can wander on. We came out with about 2 ticks in the 4 times we visited and there was a tick on me, so check yourselves, but I have seen much, much worse.

  I ENJOY BIKING AND WALKING THE 5 MILES - LOVE TO SIT NEAR THE LAKE. BUT I WISH YOU HAD A DOG PARK LIKE THOMPSON PARK, SO MY DOG CAN ENJOY RUNNING FREE AND WORRISOME FREE IN AN ENCLOSED AREA. YOU

  My husband and I have been taking our dogs to Manasquan for years. It is a wonder 5 mile loop around the reservoir. The trail is well maintained and wide enough to accomodate all the walkers, runners, bikers and horseback riders who frequent it. It is one of our favorite places to go in NJ.
