Standish-Hickey State Recreation Area

Dogs are allowed at the communal areas and campgrounds at pet-friendly Standish-Hickey State Recreation Area. The park is located 1.5 miles north of Leggett, CA on Highway 101, just west of the Rock Creek over-crossing. This state park is known as the southern gateway to the redwood belt. Fido can join you on a leash under six-feet long, but pets are not permitted on the trails. Dog owners should be advised that as a precaution against blue-green algae toxins, pets should avoid drinking from the river. The campground is open all-year-round and the day-use areas are open from sunrise to sunset. Visit Website
