Leashed dogs are welcome in the historic zone and developed areas at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in Kenwood, CA. This pet-friendly park contains the headwaters of Sonoma Creek that run through a canyon, surrounded by redwoods and ferns. You can bring Fido with you, but they are not permitted on the trails and must be in a tent, camper, or enclosed vehicle at night.
