Training good, no double entry to playground.

Their training is very well done. However the fenced play area does not have double gates and of course my dog got let out by accident and thankful that someone caught him.

I really wanted to like it...

The pond area is very misleading, it looks like it’s fenced in, but unfortunately it is not, and I found this out the hard way. There are trails that lead from the main check-in building down to the pond, that you have to cross a road to get to. Thinking the area was completely fenced in, I let my dog off the leash to go swim. He ended up running away up the trails and across the street before I could get him back. I think the park has great possibilities, but there are certain aspects that don’t seem so safe. If you have a better recall with your dog, you’ll probably be fine. I know for me, I don’t feel 100% safe letting my dog be off leash there.

    Good playground

We took our two dogs to the park for a few hours, mainly to use the playground area and the pond. The playground is nice with tons of tunnels and platforms for the pups to play on. It is a decent size, but is all wood chips and dirt- no grass. It was completely shaded though. The biggest issue I had with the playground was there was no double gate system to get in... anytime someone opens the gate you run the risk of a dog getting loose. A bit unnerving. The pond area is nice with a great dock and pavilion - BUT it isn't completely fenced and is close to a busy road. Was kind of a letdown that we had to keep our pups leashed in that part of the park. We haven't used the kennel or daycare, but their prices seem high and the hours are very limited.

    a joke

Expensive, inadequate fencing, very small play area, no fence around pond, and no staff supervision.

    Don't use the kennel

Misty Pines has a good reputation for training and has a fair dog park - the plus being the pond- my lab loves to swim there. I have heard horror stories of neighbors using the kennel, sick dogs and worse. Seems like no one watches the dogs once they are there.
