Pachaug State Forest
Pachaug State Forest near Voluntown, CT is the largest state forest in Connecticut and is also dog friendly. The park covers an epic 24,000 acres across six different towns. This interesting wooded park is covered with old cellar holes and miles of stone fence that show the area was once farmed or pastured. Fido is welcome to join you in the park if they are on a leash and under control.
