Sleeping Giant State Park

Sleeping Giant State Park is a dog-friendly area in Hamden, CT. Despite the name, this park is popular among hikers and people looking for a picturesque place to have a picnic. The name actually comes from the mountaintops resembling the image of a giant having a nap. You can wander the uneven ridges on one of the many hiking trails with Fido as long as he is on a leash. dog friendly a lot of them to socialize with

Sleeping Giant park offers several options to spend a nice bonding time with your best friend. There are different kinds of trails, from easy to not too easy, is your choice. the main path towards the castle is wide enough for distancing and to keep your dog away from other dogs if you don’t want them to interact. it’s about 35-40 min hiking to the castle depending on your pace. the view is amazing up there. you should try. recommended!
