    Not Pet Friendly Beach Area

The state park doesn’t allow dogs on the beach... however the entire rest of Grande isle is public beach so you can bring your dog to play.

    The Nature Trail...

The nature trail was flooded most of the way so much that we couldn’t walk very far on it with our dog. Then dogs aren’t allowed on the beach there so we went down the highway and back over the bridge to get to a place called Elmer’s island where it’s a public beach that allows dogs. It was very clean and we played with our dog on the beach there.
