Dogs are allowed to join their owners at Lake Fausse Pointe State Park in St. Martinville, LA, which was once home to the Chitimacha Indians. There are three dog-friendly hiking trails that weave around the woodlands surrounding the lake and over 100 different types of bird in the skies above. There are lots of historic sites nearby that you can check out while you're in the area too. Please leash and clean up after your pet.
