Chapman State Park

Chapman State Park is pet-friendly. The area is made up of mature forests and rare plants that hark back to days of old alongside the banks of Potomac River. There are a number of trails for dogs and their owners around the park, including the Potomac River Trail that joins Chapman’s Landing Road to the Potomac River; Marsh Trail that meanders through bottomland woods along the Potomac shoreline; and Coastal Woodlands Trail that makes a loop around gravel forest and a coastal oak forest. If you're planning on bringing Fido with you, make sure they're on a leash under six feet and you clean up any mess after them. Chapman State Park is open every day of the week from sunrise to sunset. Visit Website

    Not a park

Apparently, this is state land that has been completely neglected over the years, for some reason they called it a park. Park is about all you can do if you have an off-road vehicle that allows you to get back there. It's an Obstacle course to get back to the park and once you arrive there is a creepy house that makes it feel like trespassing. This isn't a park with open fields and unobstructed views of the land, it's a jungle off a dirt road with Hill people residing on it. Enter if you DARE! I live in Indian Head, calling this a park is Outrageous! NO BONES
