Dogs are allowed to join their owners at Helen Avalynne Tawes Garden. This five-acre garden includes a forest typical of Western Maryland, a stream, and an Eastern Shore peninsula. The barrier-free garden in the park contains pleasant ponds and a raised planter with lots of different plants. You can wander with your pooch around the trails and pathways that weave around the interesting plants that represent much of the life that can be found in the area. Dogs must be on a leash under six feet for the duration of their visit and owners should clean up any mess that they leave behind. Helen Avalynne Tawes Garden is open every day of the week from sunrise to sunset.
