Dead Horse State Park is great for giving your dog a chance to be out and about. After touring the National Park it was great to come here to stretch our dog’s 4 legs. The Park has great views and plenty of trails to wonder and explore. Our Golden Retriever loved it!

Lots of shade and many friendly dogs and people.

Beautiful scenery to enjoy with your dog. I did the west to east rim hike with some of the smaller point hikes. A summer hike requires plenty of water for you and your dog. There is a bathroom along the rim trail that was a good spot to refill the dog water bottle. Throughout most (but not all) of the hike we could find a shady spot to rest. the hiking was easy. Since there are limited hikes you can take your dog on, I recommend this park.

It was awesome from the start! The lady at the gate told me about their full moon hike at sunset and was very welcoming. The views were breath taking and the hike was a fun 1 mile(ish) with educational stops. I thoroughly enjoyed it 😊

The ranger at the entrance gate had dog treats in the window and came out to pet our pup, and the visitor center was welcoming to leased dogs. We loved the 5 mile rim hike- there’s not a lot of shade but we brought plenty of water and our dog loved all climbing up the trail!

we have done Moab proper with the pups several times and wanted to see something different.
we stayed inside Dead Horse Point State park at the campground. it is very dog-friendly. the hiking trails to some of the most beautiful scenery are right off the campground. It is in the middle of nowhere so pack it all up and go! - LauraOct 3, 2020Awesome
Amazing hike with amazing views

Dog cleanup stations, trail was dirt easy on paws. Easy walking where dogs allowed everywhere. Amazing scenery. Shaded picnic areas. A must do as the National Parks don’t allow pets!!
