    Perfect place for dogs!

Seneca Creek has a lot to offer adventurous dogs! The Lake Shore trail is a gorgeous 3.7 mile hike around the lake, perfect for dogs that like to swim or get their paws wet. A shorter but equally lovely trail in the free historic area is also a great option. My dog loves this place!

    Great Place For Dogs

The lake trail is perfect for dogs that love swimming, there are plenty of spots for the dogs to swim. There are two trails around the lake. The main lake trail, and a smaller trail that runs right along the shoreline that seems to be a side trail that people have created overtime. The smaller trail is less populated and is out of the way of runners and most walkers.

It costs $3 per person for MD residents and $5 per person for non-MD residents to enter the park. The reason I gave it a 4/5 star was due to the lack of trash cans and soggy bag stations. I only saw 2 trash cans (both near the boat launch) during the walk and no dog bag stations, so you must bring your own bags and prepare to carry the bags for the majority of the walk if need be. Other than that the park was great, the lake was pretty, the people stayed reasonable distances away from each other and my dog loved playing in the water
