Connecticut River Greenway State Park

Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Connecticut River Greenway State Park. This pet-friendly recreation site links together a number of parks, open spaces, scenic vistas, and historic sites. You are welcome to bring Fido on a leash to explore the greenway with you, taking in the nature trail along the way. Visitors may be lucky enough to spot songbirds, Northern Cardinal, Goldfinch, American Robin, Crows, Morning Dove, and Woodpeckers making nests in the area. Dogs who love the water will be pleased to know that there are a number of river access points along the greenway route. To preserve the cleanliness of the waterways and surrounding paths, owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind by their pets.
