F. Gilbert Hills State Forest

F. Gilbert Hills State Forest is dog-friendly. You are welcome to bring Fido with you to enjoy this 1000-acre state forest, home to 23 miles of trails that weave through the towering pine and oak trees. The park is also part of the 30-mile Warner Trail, stretching from Sharon, Mass to Diamond Hill State Park in Rhode Island. Other than the pretty paved picnic area in the forest, the park is basically made up of under-developed, woodland trails for you and your pooch to explore. F. Enjoyable walk

A friend recommended this park for walking my dogs while I was visiting in Massachusetts. This is a really nice park with well marked trails. The dogs and I really enjoyed the hike. Parking is free and it wasn’t overcrowded. All but a couple dogs were on leashes too. FYI: No water or poop bag stations.
