Myles Standish Monument State Reservation
Myles Standish Monument State Reservation is dog-friendly You can bring Fido with you to enjoy the Myles Standish Monument and the surrounding area. The 116-foot granite shaft of the monument is crowned by a 14-foot statue of Captain Myles, the military leader of Plymouth Colony, standing at the top of Captain's Hill. As well as being able to wander around the monument and surrounding wooded trails with your pooch, the views from the overlook of 19th-century lighthouses, Duxbury Beach, Plymouth Harbor, and the Blue Hills are well worth the visit. You can bring Fido with you, as long as they are on a leash under six feet in length and all mess is cleaned up after them. The park is open every day of the week from dawn until dusk.
